These ISO VG 100 synthetic gear lubricants do not contain any EP (extreme-pressure) additives but can still exhibit similar performance characteristics to EP oils. The synthetic base stocks of these gear oils provide extra protection without the additives that may attack yellow metals such as brass, bronze, or copper.
